I designed new page layouts that adhered to RWD best practices and created a better user experience for readers on any device.
The redesign improved the way the Observer’s content is organized and cleared the way for writers and editors to experiment with new features and ways to interact with users while maintaining what was integral to the Observer brand.
I created annotated wireframes to communicate how the design would function to the engineering team.
I created additional specifications and wireframes for capabilities and features we added later.
Side by side specifications and mockups proved to be an effective way to communicate style changes to the engineering team.
I highlighted spacing changes in updated specs so the engineering team could quickly identify what needed to be changed.
